ABOUT JODI

Hi. I want to thank you for your time and interest in learning a bit about me and my work. I am a speaker, family-building educator, bestselling author, digital course creator, and podcast guest. The foundation of my mission to live a life of service was set when I was eleven and asked my Mom if Jewish girls could grow up to become nuns. She lovingly surpressed a chuckle and said “Gee honey, I don't know. But why do you want to be a nun?” I said that I wanted to live a life devoted to helping others. My aspirations toward the nunnery dissipated by eleven and a half, but my tremendous passion to help others was firmly established. Years later I was finally able to most fully realize my mission and wrote my bestselling memoir, ONE FROM EACH COLUMN: My 46-Year Trek from Abusive Childhood to Elusive Motherhood, and create my digital course, From Powerless to Parenthood and Points Beyond. My memoir takes readers through my childhood in an abusive household, the resilience and ferocious tenacity I acquired, which powered me through the greatest challenges of my life throughout my 20s and 30s as I pursued a career in the entertainment industry in LA and New York. Amongst those challenges were several life-threatening choices, colossally bad decisions, 3 marriages by 39, and infertility at 40. And, oh yeah - I dated Larry David! Though that was one of the better decisions I made. My current husband, Jay, (I'm pretty sure he'll be my last husband.) and I built our family through six years of infertility treatment, consisting of my genetic son from my second marriage, our daughter whom we adopted when we were 44; and our youngest who I have birth to from a donor egg when I was 46: ONE FROM EACH COLUMN. It was that family-building challenge and triumph that led me to this work. In my opinion, the greatest gift we have as humans is in helping others. If I can help you, please don't hesitate to reach out.

With love and gratitude,

Jodi
